Launch of collaborative networking and knowledge sharing insect Hub

AgriFutures Australia, in collaboration with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) together with the International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), are pleased to invite you to attend the virtual launch of a collaborative networking and knowledge sharing Hub around emerging insect technologies in Australia and Africa.

This launch, facilitated by Dr Olivia Reynolds from AgriFutures Australia, will provide an overview of the purpose of the Hub and the partnerships and the benefits for the emerging insect industries in Australia and East Africa. Attendees will also hear from Senior Management at AgriFutures, ACIAR and icipe, Dr Anna Okello from ACIAR, Hub Chair Duncan Rowland and special invited guests from the Australian and East African insect industries. Excitingly, launch attendees will also be the first to hear of the Hub’s initial activity that will be led by icipe’s Dr Chrysantus Tanga.

As an outcome of the launch, attendees, and more widely stakeholders from Australia and Africa will be invited to submit an Expression of Interest to become a member of the Hub panel.
